Lisbon 2024
Right at the tail-end of my chill surfing trip to Ericeira, I stayed in Lisbon for a day. Not to bad for a one-nighter close to the airport
The streets
steep streets and beautiful architecture
This is what you get treated to when walking around Lisbon. Every street has something beautiful about it. From the tiles on one building to the festive decoration on some streets on the outskirts of town. This city treats you to some amazing and sometimes unexpected beauty
catching a break
i love shooting people going about their lives
But I must admit that I’m still somewhat shy when photographing. Therefore I like to get a little distance between myself and my subject. Which to me, creates a more candid and pure expression of the person I’m photographing.
You don’t insert yourself as much into someone else’s space when capturing that moment. In Lisbon however I did catch this woman reading and as I was snapping my picture, she looked up in surprise. No harm no foul though, after a little mutual smile, the both of us went on about our day.
